At Tierney Education, we believe students deserve real, reliable support in their most challenging college classes—without paying private tutoring rates. That’s why we created the Weekly Review Program: a group-based, high-impact support system for courses like Chemistry, Economics, and Psychology.
What is it?
Each week, students meet for a 60–90 minute session led by experienced educators who know the course material inside and out. These sessions are designed to help students stay on track, clarify confusing concepts, and prepare for exams—alongside peers who are working through the same material.

Served over 75 students across CHEM 110, CHEM 112, ECON 102, and PSYCH 100

Meet the Instructors:
James Tierney – Former economics professor at Penn State with 15+ years of classroom experience. Focuses on clear explanations and helping students actually understand the material.
Todd Pontius – Former chemistry professor at Penn State. Known for breaking down complicated topics in CHEM 110 and 112 into something that finally makes sense.
Spring 2026:
Full schedule and registration are now live! We’re planning weekly sessions for CHEM 110 and CHEM112, with optional add-ons for exam prep and study skills. These will take place on Wednesday nights. CHEM 112 from 6:30pm - 8pm and CHEM 110 from 8pm - 9:30pm.
