Academic Coaching
Academic coaching helps students navigate their overall educational experience—not just a single class. Students meet weekly or biweekly with James, Kim, or one of our professional academic coaches to stay organized, focused, and on track throughout the semester.
Coaching sessions may include:
Setting up an academic and social calendar using Google Calendar or Microsoft 365
Reviewing goals and building systems that support lasting habits
Setting weekly, monthly, and semester-long milestones
Discussing what’s working, what isn’t, and how to adjust
Identifying additional resources that may help during the semester
Our coaches also introduce study strategies grounded in learning science, such as retrieval practice and dual coding. Each student’s experience is personalized to their needs and goals.
Students can add career-focused sessions throughout the year. Our team can help with resumes, cover letters, interviewing, and LinkedIn.

One-on-One Tutoring
Tierney Education offers one-on-one tutoring in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format. Our tutors provide individualized support in a wide range of courses. Visit our Courses page to see what we currently offer.

Private tutoring starts at $75 per hour. Rates vary by course level and tutor experience.
SAT Tutoring
Our SAT tutoring program combines personalized instruction with structured practice through EduPark.ai. We begin by getting to know the student, understanding their goals, and identifying the skills they want to strengthen.
Our process
Family conversation: The student and parent(s) meet with us at our downtown learning center to discuss goals, expectations, and the student’s schedule.
Diagnostic: The student completes a short diagnostic at the learning center. We review the results to identify areas to focus on.
Personalized plan: We create a plan that combines tutoring with independent practice and assignments through EduPark.ai.
Program fee: $500 per student
The fee includes up to six months of EduPark.ai access, a diagnostic and review, and up to three proctored full-length practice exams at our learning center.
Tutoring: $150 per hour
Sessions can include up to three students. We typically recommend no more than one hour per week per subject, with no minimum-hour commitment.
