SAT PREP COURSE
Are you a student looking to crush the SAT this year or improve your existing score? With Tierney Education’s SAT Prep Course, you’ll have the chance to cover every topic with in-person instruction and support right up until the August 22nd SAT. Not taking the August SAT? You’ll still be able to use Acely’s online, personalized study plan for three full months, and practice even after the sessions end!

Learn the material in a live classroom with ten weeks of instruction. We keep enrollment capped at twelve students to offer you individualized support.
All sessions will be held at the Tierney Education Learning Center in Downtown State College.

Gain test-day skills by taking two full length SAT practice exams. After, you’ll get a report with your projected score and a personalized study plan
These exams will be given in the Tierney Education Learning Center under a “Test Day Environment”, so you can get used to everything before the real Test Day.

In addition to live instruction, you’ll have 3-month access to Acely’s online test prep to continue your personalized study plan even after the program ends.

James is the founder of Tierney Education and former Penn State economics professor, brings over 15 years of teaching experience to the classroom. He specializes in helping students build strong math foundations, improve problem-solving skills, and approach the SAT with confidence. Whether you're aiming for major improvement or pushing toward a top score, James is committed to helping you get there.

Julianna helps students prepare for the Reading portion of the SAT at any stage - whether it’s identifying knowledge gaps, practicing grammar rules, or crushing the essay portion, she collaborates with students to ensure they can approach the SAT with confidence and a strong understanding of the concepts they need to succeed.

No! We offer each Section individually or as a package so you can get the help you need! If you know you only. need help on Math or Reading, you can sign up for the Single Section Package and choose “Math” or “Reading” at checkout.

We understand Summer is a busy time for high school sports, college visits, and vacations - which is why we’ll be recording the lessons and sending them out if you miss a weekly session!

Each section will meet once a week for two hours! Each section has two different times, so you can choose the section that works best for your schedule!
Reading meets on Tuesdays from 12pm-2pm or 5pm-7pm, and Math meets on Wednesdays from 12pm-2pm or 5pm-7pm!

During or prior to the first week of the program, you’ll be invited to take a Diagnostic Test which will show you an estimated score and can be your baseline as you continue through the program!

You can begin preparing for the SAT anytime! Whether you are a Freshman or Sophomore looking to get a head start, a Junior taking the August or September SAT, or a Senior looking to improve your score before applications, we’re ready to help get you where you want to be!
