Emma Bush
Math & Chemistry Tutor
Emma is a fourth-year Chemical Engineering major with a minor in Environmental Engineering at Penn State University. Originally from Ellicott City, Maryland, just outside Baltimore, she spent the past two summers in Philly and Oregon as a Technical Sales Intern for Solenis, a global provider of water and hygiene solutions. She has been a tutor for Tierney Education for the past semester, tutoring several organic chemistry students. Emma also spent three semesters as a grader for Math 251 and one semester as a grader for CE 370. Additionally, she has worked as a student researcher for Dr. Brennan's environmental engineering lab. At Penn State, Emma is a member of the STEM sorority Phi Sigma Rho, serving as the THON Family Relations Chair, where she manages relationships with the organization’s paired THON families. In her free time, Emma enjoys running, hiking, traveling, surfing, skiing, and playing guitar.
Random Fact: Emma interned on the Oregon coast this summer, and I've been learning to surf!
