Leona is a junior at Penn State and a member of the Schreyer Honors College, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Originally from Pittsburgh, she is active on campus as co-president of the Girls Who Code College Loop, a grader for CMPSC 132, and a member of the Nittany Lion Consulting Group and the Women in Engineering Program. Leona also conducts research on large language models in the James Z. Wang Lab and on esports in the Human-Technology Interaction Lab. Outside of school, she works as an Instructor Assistant for Kode with Klossy, a summer camp that teaches coding to high school students. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, exploring new foods, and crocheting.
