Jake Licata, originally from Ambler, Pennsylvania, is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics at Penn State. His passion for problem-solving has allowed him to find great joy in his coursework. Outside of the classroom, Jake is actively involved in various campus organizations, including Penn State’s THON, where he served as a fundraising chair for his business fraternity, and Penn State’s Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship (HESE) program, contributing to a social impact venture based in Kisumu, Kenya. His diverse work experience ranges from an engineering internship in an aerosol manufacturing facility to roles in landscaping and restaurant service, equipping him with the skills to collaborate effectively in a variety of environments. In his free time, Jake enjoys hiking—whether it's jogging on local trails or exploring national parks. He recently completed a study abroad semester in Madrid, Spain, where he explored the country’s beaches and mountains. Jake is excited to be part of the Tierney Education team and looks forward to helping students succeed academically while developing strong study habits.
